So sorry I haven't updated in a while. But now there's news to talk of!
Very exciting times we're living in here at the GutenCAMP.
This Saturday July 22nd at 10PM in the Club Good Time Somerville, MA the Steve GutenBAND will be having our "Sweetness Overflow" album release party. It's going to be the best thing ever, so please come!

NEWs:
Well, I got pulled over for the first time the other night. Got off with a warning.
I built a new bookshelf last night for my DVDs, so that was fun.
The new Flaming Lips album comes out tomorrow, which is exciting. I got the Soft Bulletin 5.1 the other day which sounds pretty amazing and awesome.
Lots of work done to the new GutenBAND album, with tentative plans for a wonderfully grand album-release pool party BBQ bash. Stay tuned like John Ritter.

It's f'n March already.
Went to three shows in a row last weekend (NOFX, Funkadelic, of Montreal) and, well, I'm still trying to recover. Soo run-down and when I got to school today my first class was canceled and I had to kill 2 hours before the next one. then I gotta work 1:30 to close tonight, which I'm also not looking forward to. (used recall, gross.)
I need to figure out where I'm transferring to after this semester. I'm seriously looking at Fitchburg, and there's a Strawberries like 4 miles away so I could probably transfer to that store...ugh. too much change. maybe it'll be a good thing...
Well...what do you think?

Second Day of classes starts at 9:30 with my Death and Dying class, luckily Martha is in the class so I've got a familiar face. It's quite an interesting way to start the day. I'm told Native Americans would always live life on the edge and every morning wake up and say "Today is a good day to die" therefore turning death from this creature that everyone eventually is defeated by into a beautiful part of life (they always look at things in such perfect ways)
Music Appreciation seems like it'll be a pretty decent class, and Dodgeball Dave is in there so that was good. After today I pretty much know everyone in the class' name already, and they all seem like pretty cool kids so, yeah, I hope the class will be interesting.
Tonight I have Bio2 in Lynn at 6:30. *sigh* this is something I'm not looking too forward to. haha "too forward to" sounds like some obscure 90's radio alt rock band. maybe i'll make that a song title.
Well, now I've got to kill 5 hours. I'm off!

The last weekend of Vacation. Went to Eric's on Friday night, fun times.
Saturday I went to visit Brian at UMASS Dartmouth, got lost a few times.
Yesterday I worked and then watched Buffalo '66 and the Brown Bunny.
Today I'm back at school, and it's snowing really bad, and I don't want to die driving.
I messed up my schedule and gave myself an hour break between my first and second class of the day, so on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays you can expect to find me online between 11:30-12:30.

Well, it's been 3 years to the day since Steve GutenBAND'S humble beginning writing our first song "Brian Vatcher:Funk Rhapsody"
So we celebrate by writing 2 new songs! One of which will be on the upcoming record (P.U.N.intendo). No new shows as of late, but we'll be going into the studio the first week of January to (hopefully) finish up the album.
Any new updates will be passed along.

Last night I got locked INSIDE my store. The bolt wouldn't budge an inch. We had to call an emergency locksmith and didn't leave until 12:30. It reminded me of the second episode of Clerks cartoons. So I played the role of Randal Graves and read a magazine and made funny comments all night. Now it's time to go back to work again.

So what were you for Halloween?
I was Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas. After she wet herself on stage.
Friday party was pretty cool, I suppose. Cute Asian spoon-feeding me magic jello, ohhhhh-tay!
Saturday was for sleeping.
Sundae was for working.
Monday was for Buckethead in Conn. which was a good show, he used nunchucks! and then he did the liquid arms thing, but he could do it with his hands too, I was impressed. Oh yeah, and he played the guitar like an alien that's really good at guitar. then he hit his guitar with nunchucks, and that's how he ended the show. guitars and nunchucks, just like peas and carrots.
Black Eyed Pees.
Well, I'm off to work, tomorrow is Devin the Dude at the middle east followed by a next door show by Mark Mulcahy(from Polaris!) at tt the bear's in one of 3 solo acoustic US shows. it's going to be excellent.
